Jim came to work for the family agency in 2002 after a variety of career paths. As one will find, the Bocrie name is synonymous with insurance in Virginia. Jim likes to tell others that he was born into an insurance family since his dad and sister were Nationwide Agents, and his uncle and three cousins were agents for Allstate. His hobbies span from fishing, biking, swimming to having cookouts in his back yard. Jim grew up in the Midlothian area where he resides with his wife who also works in the agency. He has three daughters who are trying to find their own path, but he hopes they eventually find their way to the family business of helping others.
A lifelong resident of Ashland, Virginia, Sam has been working in the insurance industry since 2000. She is a well-rounded agent from assisting those with not so perfect driving records to long haul truckers. Most of her free time is spent with her two fur babies, Hamilton and Ireland. She enjoys spending time at her mother’s river home in Colonial Beach, Virginia and watching her Dallas Cowboys. Sam enjoys binge watching tv mystery series and is a huge fan of the history of World War II.
As an insurance professional for over 30 years, Debbie brings a vast amount of knowledge and understanding to our personal lines department. Her proactive approach in reviewing home and automobile policies gives our clients peace of mind that coverages are kept up to date with their ever changing lives, while providing cost saving solutions to keep premiums as low as possible. She resides with her husband, Mark, of over 30 years in Midlothian where they raised their two children, Alex and Tori. When not working she loves watching sports, researching her family tree and reading anything to do with history, hopefully in a shady spot with a great view.
Growing up in Chesterfield county, Jennifer was involved in a variety of sports including swimming, softball, and varsity basketball and track and field at Monacan High School. She went on to gain her bachelors in education from Campbell University and later earned her masters in educational leadership from Virginia Commonwealth University – GO RAMS! After more than 25 years working in Goochland County Public Schools as a teacher, librarian, technology specialist and director of testing, she will now be utilizing her skillset to help the organization in data analysis and database administration. She enjoys spending time with her family including her three daughters and husband. The family enjoys cheering on the University of South Carolina Gamecocks, the VCU Rams and the James River High School Rapids. As a breast cancer survivor, Jennifer is a supporter of Relay for Life and the Hawthorne Cancer Center.
Andrew Sylvain is a 2020 graduate from the VCU School of Business B.S. with a concentration in Risk Management & Insurance from Leesburg, Virginia. Andrew previously worked many different customer service jobs during his time at VCU but got the chance to be a peer-to-peer financial coach with a VCU student resource his senior year. He loves the Richmond area and is excited to start his career here and gain as much experience he can in the insurance industry. Andrew is a very out-going and competitive person who loves to meet new people, hang out with the friends he’s made in college, and play any kind of game or sport that he can.
Chip Boone is a lifelong resident of Richmond. He is a proud graduate of Midlothian High School, and the University of Richmond, where he also played baseball. Chip entered the insurance industry last year after spending twenty years in the education field. He previously taught history at Atlee, James River, and Glen Allen High Schools. Along with teaching, he enjoyed coaching football and baseball. In 2015, Chip became the Student Activities Director at James River School. He also met his wife there (an English teacher), and now they have two children. In 2019, he decided to take the skills he developed and utilize them in the insurance field. He enjoys hanging out with his family, taking family trips, and attending Richmond Spiders’ games. Chip is passionate about educating clients on finding the right policy that fits their coverage and rate needs.
Caleigh Bocrie began working for the family business in January 2020 as a Customer Service Representative. She attended Embry Riddle for 1 year where she was a DII athlete, student assistant, and reporter for the Avion Newspaper. Caleigh is living up to the Bocrie name in insurance as she received her license in Property and Casualty Insurance and plans to continue building her experience in the insurance industry. She will be attending Virginia Commonwealth University in the Fall of 2020 studying business while working for the agency. As an avid art lover, Caleigh loves to paint and draw in her spare time. She also enjoys playing video games and the stories they tell.
Jim Bocrie, Sr. began his insurance career with Nationwide Insurance in 1979 building a successful agency in Central Virginia servicing primarily Richmond City and the counties of Chesterfield, Henrico and Hanover. He enjoys spending time with his five granddaughters and playing as much golf as possible. He also likes to travel especially to where there is sand and water! Jim Sr. and his wife live in Glen Allen, VA.
Moira Bocrie is a 2020 graduate from the University of South Carolina with a B.A. in Art History and minors in Public Relations/Advertising and Business Administration. Moira was active in on-and off-campus activities, including Relay For Life Executive Board and Shandon Baptist College Ministry. In the summer of 2019, Moira studied abroad in Edinburgh, Scotland where she participated in museum studies and history courses and interned for Historic Environment Scotland. Her senior year, Moira had the opportunity to serve in the Study Abroad office advising students on their options and supporting events around campus. Moira loves an excuse to hang out with friends, go to a Gamecock football game, and is ready to start work after college. She is excited to serve in the family business gaining experience in customer service and marketing while planning for graduate school.
Daniel Zarzour began his career as an insurance agent in 2017. After stepping down as a licensed agent in a large insurance corporation, Daniel decided to join the team of Heritage Insurance Partners in September of 2020 to put his almost 10 years of customer service experience to good use for the local community. In his free time, Daniel enjoys working on motorcycles, taking road trips, watching movies, and singing his favorite songs at karaoke.
